Our senior citizens deserve the best care and attention possible.
My wife and I have the privilege of living very near to the Twin Creeks assisted living residences in Riverview, Florida. Kendy plays the piano there every Tuesday in the conservatory. The residents really like hearing the old gospel hymns and they sing along and ask for special songs. Sometimes they get on the piano and play themselves. It’s great to see how music stirs them and how they start singing and even weep with tears of joy as they hear their old favorites.
One day we know that we’ll be just like them. Old and needing someone to be patient with us and spend time with us – and just talk. The Bible teaches very plainly that we are to honor the elderly and the law of sowing and reaping comes into play when we do just that. When we sow good seed, it’ll produce something good. That’s just the plain old simple laws of nature. My wife and I have always found that the elderly are very thankful for the smallest of things, so doing something small for the elderly always has its reward in the form of a hug given, profuse thanks, or when they offer something to drink or a snack.
As a notary public living in the Tampa Bay area, I am often called upon to notarize signatures on wills, testaments, healthcare directives, financial documents, trusts, and more. I know that seniors often have difficulties with driving so I’m a mobile notary as well. If you or your elderly loved ones need a professional mobile notary, please give me a call. I visit homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers. Serving Sun City Center, Tampa, Brandon, Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Riverview, Seffner, Valrico, and Plant City.
Leviticus 19:32 says “Thou shalt rise up before the hoary [gray] head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the Lord.”
